Lead for Equity and Engagement LLC supports individuals and families through advocacy. We support organizations through professional development, training, and strategic planning. We also support communities through organizing and empowering through education and activism. We work to dismantle systems that marginalize and alienate individuals and groups. We promote access, opportunity, equity, excellence, and engagement.
Equity means that each individual receives what she, he, or they needs to develop to her, his, or their full potential. To achieve equity in education, we must TRANSFORM our institutions by eliminating inequitable practices and policies. We must cultivate and nurture the unique gifts, talents, and interests of every child. Success and failure can no longer be predictable by student identity – race, cultural identity, gender identity, economic status, or any other factor that has historically marginalized and oppressed individuals.
